Circle House Rules

We’re so glad you have chosen Circle House to be your home away from home in Niagara on the Lake. We want everyone to be happy and so we ask that you read, agree to, and follow our house rules below.

 

A FEW IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Check in is at 4:00PM, Check out is at 11:00AM
  • NO SMOKING
  • No additional guests – all guests must be registered on this agreement
  • No events or parties are permitted
  • Pets require pre-approval from owner and cost an additional fee
  • Primary renter must be 25 years of age or older and must be present during the entire booking
  • Circle House has an occupancy of six (6) persons. A double pull-out sofa is available upon request. Please provide the name and age of all overnight occupants.

PARKING: No street parking is permitted however there is enough space for three cars in the driveway. License plates of all cars on the property are to be provided prior to or at the time of check-in.

ARRIVAL: Circle House has an electronic entry and the code, along with a welcome information package, will be provided once your reservation has been paid in full. There will be a copy of the welcome package in the house for your reference. Although we are very careful to clean and care for the property, occasionally something is missed. Please walk through the house and let us know immediately if you have any concerns or questions. We live locally and are here to help.

MOBILITY: Circle House is a bungalow and although guests can comfortably reside on the main floor, there are two steps leading into the home. There is no railing at the front entrance.

SUPPLIES: Linens, towels, dishes, glasses and utensils are provided. For your added convenience, we provide condiments and a basic supply of toilet tissue, hand soap, shampoo, dish washing and cleaning supplies. You are responsible for any additional items you require during your stay.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS:

Primary Guest: The person who booked and paid is the primary guest and is responsible for the actions of other house guests. The primary guest must be present during the entire booking. This means, for example, that you cannot book for your parents or your friends unless you are also on the property for the entire duration of the booking.

Liability: You accept full responsibility for all damages caused to Circle House (inside or outside), including contents. The Property Owner is NOT responsible for accidents or injuries to occupants, or loss of personal property of any kind. Occupants assume full responsibility for the safety and security of all occupants, including pets, both inside and outside of the premises, at all times during the rental period.

Loss or Damage: We reserve the right to charge for any loss or damage to the property or its contents upon departure. If extra cleaning or sanitizing is required over and above what would be considered normal wear and tear, the amount will be deducted from your security deposit and a detailed description will be supplied. *Please note, this includes strong lingering cooking odors.

While in the home: We ask guests to remove their shoes and keep pets off the furniture.

Please do not use towels to remove make-up. Disposable make up removers are provided so that towels and linens do not get stained.

Noise By-law: Niagara-on-the-Lake has a noise by-law from 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM. You are welcome to enjoy a quiet evening in the yard, however we ask that any music or louder activity be brought into the house by 10PM. Any noise complaints may result in immediate eviction. Circle House is located in a residential area and we require that our guests behave appropriately and respect neighbours.

Parties: We do not allow parties of any sort, including weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties or gatherings that include anyone other than those on the occupants list.

No-Smoking Policy: ABSOLUTELY no smoking or illicit substances are permitted inside or outside the premises of Circle House. Failure to comply may result in immediate eviction and or additional charges.

Odors: Please refrain from cooking foods or creating aromas that linger beyond your stay. If odors remain past your stay and result in the relocation of the next occupants, you will be charged any costs to restore Circle House to its original state. Any cooking items that could cause a lasting aroma should be cooked outdoors on the barbeque. 

Pet Policy: At this time, we are not accepting pets.

Fire: ABSOLUTELY no wick burning candles are allowed. No fire is allowed to burn on the property. The fireplace is locked and out of order.

Check out Responsibilities: Circle House is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and after your check-out. Please help us maintain the home by following these procedures:
– Place all used towels in a bathtub or shower
– Clean the kitchen
– Start the dishwasher prior to checking out
– Dispose of all waste materials into specific bins in the garage

Home Maintenance: During your stay, maintenance work may be performed on the outside of the residence such as grounds keeping/maintenance. We try to keep these tasks to a minimum and to weekdays. *Please note: On Thursday’s we will enter the garage (not the home) to put out the garbage for Friday morning pick-up.

Stays longer than 7 days: It is our policy that the house be checked every week by management to ensure guest safety and to top up supplies. The house is cleaned after check-out.  Should you wish to have housekeeping services during your stay, please let us know and we can arrange these services at an additional fee.

Furniture: Please do not rearrange furniture and keep indoor furniture inside, and outdoor furniture outside. Charges will apply if furniture is moved.

Emergency Access: Although uncommon, emergency issues can arise. In such situations, management will attempt to notify the guest before entering, however we reserve the right to enter without notice to address the problem.

Information, policies and rules: In the house you will find a copy of this agreement along with our welcome package. Contact us immediately if you identify any deficiencies so that we may address them at the beginning of your stay.

Reservations are non-transferable. The person who books the reservation cannot sub-lease the space.

Netflix: Circle House provides Netflix as part of your stay. Please be mindful of the TV and Apple TV remotes as they can easily get misplaced.

Note: Check out time is 11:00 AM. Unauthorized late checkouts result in a $150 fee.

The primary renter is responisble for the house and must be the person to accept the terms of the agreement.
